Other Fun Creations

Recycled bottles vary in composition as well as color. Additional colors are achieved through the use of powdered glass enamels and frits.  Bottles are cut, melted and fire polished in kilns, at times sand tumbled, all of which provide for the variety of appearances and textures.

Mosaics, Mirrored

Re-purposed bottles and scrap mirror have been made into a glass mosaic. Mosaic pieces have been cut from bottles before and after firing, colored using powdered frits and enamels, fire polished in the kiln, then assembled into a harmonious pattern on tile board.

Pendants & Earrings

Recycled bottles, primarily wine and beer bottles, are cut and melted flat. They are then cut into shapes. Frits and glass enamel powders are applied so that designs can be drawn. They are re-fired to polish the edges and fuse the glass.  Some may be tumbled for a matte finish.

Mosaics, Wall Sculptures
